Unmolested Shortnose D Type

Jaguar D Type replica (4. 2 Triple SU’s) 4 speed manual with overdrive

A Realm / RAM D-Type Jaguar replica, 4. 2 XK engine, Reg. No. NDX 14, in the colours of the famous Ecurie Ecosse racing team, with grey leather interior, registered on V5 as a 1969 Damiler Historic Vehicle

This very good replica of Jaguar's legendary Le Mans-winning D-Type was described by Kit Cars & Specials magazine as having 'undisputed mechanical integrity,' and was reckoned 'one of the most desirable replicas we have yet laid our hands on.' The factory claimed a performance, depending on engine tune, of 0-60mph in approximately 5. 9 seconds and a maximum speed in overdrive top approaching 150mph.

This RAM has been cherished by the last owner in 2006. Included with the car is a large ring binder filled with bills and receipts, plus some spare parts.

A Realm build and finished in Ecurie Ecosse metallic blue and grey leather trim

This car has an extensive previous history. The last owner has owned for 3 years, and the car joined his collection of classic Jaguars, during this time the car has seen little use. Prior to this the owner, again a serial collector of some very interesting cars, acquired the car from Scotland in 2006 and set about recommissioning the vehicle including adding the Triple SU carbs and gearbox rebuild amongst a plethora of other works. The previous owner to him had the vehicle for some 6 years. In total the V5 shows 6 owners

Previous MOT’s dating back to March 2000 with a mileage of 1954

The record keeping of the owner (prior to current 2006 - 2022) was fastidious and meticulous, a virtual diary in fact detailing daily actions including usage of petrol, road trips, comments etc down to nuts and bolts and even car washes; this both in relation to expenditures and mileages from 15000 miles to 29000 miles

The larger items of attention have been:
• Overdrive
• Carburettors rebuild
• Header tank replacement
• Gearbox overhaul
• Brake Master Cylinder
• Seatbelts
• Kenlow Fan
• Electronic Distributor
• Pirelli Tyres
• Moto-lita steering wheel
• Clutch
